Great book made by Ta at the last Bookmaking Course run at the studio. She made a sewn text block out of heavy watercolour paper, which she then stuck her polaroid prints into. As an extra nice touch, she debossed a frame on each page for each image so it sits level in the page surface – nice one Ta!
Really chuffed to have an opportunity to see and read in the flesh a copy of Alec Soth’s Broken Manual, the special edition no less! Something I will probably never see again, today was a good day…
During the January DIY Book Making Course Martin Seeds made a really nice dummy book from some of his archive. Japanese bound, french fold, single sheets, pull outs – great effort!!

Following a sucessful workshop held during the Brighton Photo Fringe, William will be starting an evening class in DIY bookmaking practice starting end of November.
It will run an evening a week for 4 weeks, and introduce 8 binding techiniques to get your bookmaking practice moving. Spaces will be limited, email williamsadowski@gmail.com to request further details and register your interest.
We’ve got two spaces available at the studio at the moment.
There’s a simple deskspace @ £115 PCM and a full workspace at £155 PCM.
